Four House Candidates Receive THCA PAC Endorsement

The THCA PAC Board voted last week to endorse four candidates for open seats in the Republican primary runoffs that will be held on May 22.

The endorsements followed recommendations by THCA’s Candidates Committee, which interviewed each of the office seekers and their opponents in their district at a THCA member facility. Committee members based their recommendations on which candidate seemed most willing to support the long term care community in the Legislature.

Candidates endorsed by THCA PAC are:

Ben Leman (Navasota)—District 8

Cody Harris (Palestine)—District 13

Reggie Smith (Van Alstyne)—District 62

Steve Allison (San Antonio)—District 121

THCA members in those districts are being notified of the PAC’s support and each endorsed candidate may use the endorsement in his ads and other materials.

THCA PAC earlier endorsed candidates in the primary races for each party.

Early voting for the runoffs begins on May 14.

THCA endorsed House candidate Ben Leman (Left) visited the Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where Nick Holder (Right) is the Administrator.

Reggie Smith (Right) who toured the Homestead of Sherman with Administrator Larry Ballou (Left), was also endorsed by THCA PAC.
