MDS 3.0 Quality Measures Manual V9.0 Released

The MDS 3.0 QM User’s Manual V9.0, which contains detailed specification for the MDS 3.0 quality measures, may be downloaded from the Downloads section at the bottom of the CMS Nursing Home Quality Measures website. This new file, which is effective Oct. 1, 2015, includes these key changes:

2 changes to the influenza vaccine measures: a change in time period for calculation of the measures and a change to a single calculation per year.
A change to the missing values for risk adjusted measures, such that missing values for items used to calculate coefficients result in resident being assigned to the ‘low risk’ category, rather than being dropped from the calculation.

MDS 3.0 QM User’s Manual V8.0 has been moved to the CMS Nursing Home Quality Measures Archive website.
