Update Handgun SignsDuring the last legislative session House Bill 910 was passed requiring nursing facilities to update their signs to note that it is unlawful for a person to carry a handgun on the premises regardless of whether the handgun is concealed or not. DADS is in the process of printing new signs that nursing facilities will be able to order from them with the new wording. Also, DADS is developing a provider letter to address the requirement to update handgun signs and the timeline to comply. DADS is expected to release the related new provider letter soon. |
