NFQR Data Collection Runs Through March 31DADS has extended the data collection deadline for the Nursing Facility Quality Review to March 31, 2016. Nursing homes that are contacted by nurse quality reviewers from the University of Texas School of Nursing are asked to cooperate and allow access to sample residents and their clinical records. Note that visits may occur outside normal business hours, including on weekends. Facilities will be notified by phone 1-2 days before the visit. By the end of the survey, UT will have contacted more than 1,100 nursing homes to assess and interview residents using a survey tool that focuses on quality of care and resident satisfaction with their quality of life. The information collected will help DADS track progress in current quality improvement activities, and develop strategies for new initiatives to improve the quality of care and quality of life for residents.
